Del Rey’s Star Wars Books Facebook page has posted the first two mini-excerpts from Star Wars: Scourge by Jeff Grubb. Check them out below.
“A Jedi goes where he is needed,” said Mander. “Your brother, regardless of his fate, knew this. I taught him that, as I myself was taught. I will finish Toro’s task, and if I can, bring those responsible for his death to justice. I would appreciate your help.” He looked at the Bothan. “Both of you.”
Another slurred garble, and the droid hesitated. One of the Wookiees smacked it across the back of the head, and it spat out, “Mighty Zonnos wants you to know that even if you fail to find his brother or – Ardos forbid – are too late to save him, you will still have an ally among the Anjiliacs.”
Zonnos waited for the droid to finish, then managed a lazy, single wink. Then it laughed, and for a moment Mander’s blood ran cold.
Scourge will be released April 24, 2012, and I’m looking forward to this book from first time Star Wars author Jeff Grubb.
