This week’s episode is actually last week’s episode. I had some trouble with SoundCloud, but it’s all gravy now. Enjoy!

Troy Denning’s upcoming novel, ‘Star Wars: Crucible’, got it’s first blurb posted by Random House. The blurb gives some insight to the plot of the book, but only enough to whet fan’s appetites. See for yourself…
When Han and Leia Solo arrive at Lando Calrissian’s Outer Rim mining operation to help him thwart a hostile takeover, their aim is just to even up the odds and lay down the law. Then monstrous aliens arrive with a message, and mere threats escalate into violent sabotage with mass fatalities. When the dust settles, what began as corporate warfare becomes a battle with much higher stakes—and far deadlier consequences.
Now Han, Leia, and Luke team up once again in a quest to defeat a dangerous adversary bent on galaxy-wide domination. Only this time, the Empire is not the enemy. It is a pair of ruthless geniuses with a lethal ally and a lifelong vendetta against Han Solo. They will stop at nothing to control the lucrative Outer Rim mining trade—and ultimately the entire galactic economy. And when the murderous duo gets the drop on Han, he finds himself outgunned in the fight of his life. To save him, and the galaxy, Luke and Leia must brave a gauntlet of treachery, terrorism, and the untold power of an enigmatic artifact capable of bending space, time, and even the Force itself into an apocalyptic nightmare.
I was already looking forward to this, and from the sound of things, ‘Crucible’ will not disappoint.
If you’ve ever had a hard time imagining how good Jaina Solo looks, ArtFX is here to help. The Bishoujo, or “beautiful girl”, style statue stands 9″ tall and portrays the Solo’s female child in the classic Alliance orange jumpsuit. One of the features I love about this piece is the slight anime style look that they give her.
If you want to add Miss Solo to your collection it’ll set you back $60, but isn’t she worth it?
From the Mad Mind of Joe Schreiber, (Author of Red Harvest and Death Troopers) comes another foray into the seedy annals of the galaxy, Maul: Lockdown. The description reads as such:
From the mind of Joe Schreiber, New York Times bestselling author of Star Wars: Death Troopers, comes the delirious follow-up to last year’s Darth Plagueis. In a tale of retribution and survival set before the events of The Phantom Menace, Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious dispatch Sith apprentice Darth Maul on a secret mission to infiltrate a criminal empire operating from inside Cog Hive Seven-a hidden prison teeming with the galaxy’s most savage criminals. There, he must contend against the scummiest and most villainous in gladiatorial death matches while carrying out his masters’ clandestine commands. Failure is not an option; success will ignite the revenge of the Sith against the Jedi Order.
Now whether you’re a fan of his introduction of “Zombies” into Star Wars or not, you have to admit that Ol’ Joe knows how to write a suspense filled story. I don’t really understand how this book is a “continuation” of Darth Plagueius, seeing that it takes place during the time period of that story. Possibly they mean this to be an offshoot of Plagueius. In any case the description has definitely piqued my interest.
From what they tell us of the story line I kind of picture a meeting of Star Wars and Prison Break. Whatever direction the tale may turn, I’m eagerly awaiting Maul’s return to the printed EU after a nine year absence.
